Amazing atmosphere, good food, good service.

Buckeystown Pub is a great place… the owner is a great guy and the workers are awesome… nice place to relax and get great food and listen to great bands …. and they have fresh crabs.

First time here today. LOVE the atmosphere and people. Can’t wait to go back.

We are from Texas and have visited Maryland many times and Buckeystown Pub has the best crab, atmosphere, and service. If you are within 50 miles of Buckeystown MD you must stop by. Ask for Doreen.

I recently dined here with friends and was very pleased to find this gem.

We ordered the pub mix, fried cheese, mushrooms, peppers, cheese sticks, and it was good. Heavy on the breading, but tasty.

The iced tea is really good and the soda was mixed well.

Now for the crabs.
We ordered two dozen mediums and they came out fresh and hot. Melted butter and lemons can be served on the side.
The crabs were mostly heavy and the meat was so tender and moist. Perfection! My only complaint was that there was to much rock salt on the crabs.

The outdoor dining area is pleasant and clean. Fans are kept running for ventilation. There is a hand washing sink outside with plenty of towels.

The restrooms are clean.

We will be returning to this establishment before summers end

The crabs were to die for. My party thought they were best they’ve had since our last trip to The Pub. If you get the crab cake, spring for the platter. Why? Sandwich is good, but I just like the platter more. Place was clean, orderly, and managed well. Only draw back was parking. Lot is big, but The Pub’s following is much bigger. Get there early.

This is a local place with a jukebox, darts, a wood bar, and some tables. We stopped in mid-day on a Saturday when we were looking at houses in the area and we were happy to sit at the bar for a drink and a crab cake. The staff was really friendly and just small-town comfortable, and the crab cakes (we received them fried) were excellent!

This place is very friendly, both patrons and staff–they have great food and drinks at great prices.  It is a local bar but they welcome newbies as well. They also have darts and horseshoes in the warmer months. Good food, good people, great prices. What more can you ask for?

A little hard to find and not much to look at, Buckeystown Meat Market and Pub serves good food and plenty of it at great prices. This is not a fancy place, but very friendly.

The outdoor patio is very inviting with picnic tables, a tiki style bar, large fans inside the ceiling of the shelter, a nice big stage for the bands, and in the lawn area: horseshoe pits and corn hole.  To top it off, they have All You Can Eat crabs for a good price accompanied by crab soup, fries, and hush puppies.  We went to Buckeystown Pub a couple of weekends ago and got the All You Can Eat Crabs while sitting outside on their patio and listening to a great band.  It was a really fun evening!

This little joint is really nice a taste of old Frederick for sure!

Speaking for myself and the band NOT DEAD YET we really enjoyed our first visit here – very friendly staff and patrons, great location, awesome live music pavilion, GREAT FOOD and COLD BEER – Not to mention the chilled Jager Bombs !!!!!!! We had a most AWESOME time!!!!!!!

The Crabby Daddy run was great. So many bikers and trikers! Awesome. And the food was good as was the band! Doing this again! See you next year.

Good food, live music. Love It!

I have lived in the area for 5 years and had never been to his place. I was told it was a dump and had heard a few not-so-great jokes about the place, so I’ve avoided it.

I went there this afternoon to watch some football and had a great experience. Cold beer, hot food and good service. Great place to watch a game. It’s your typical blue-collar neighborhood bar. It is what it is. Had a great time, I would definitely go back without hesitation.
