What a gorgeous morning for the first days of fall. The summer sure went fast. For me it seems to go by faster and faster each year. Do you think age has anything to do with it? Not me!
Last night at the Pub was Mustang Sally! They filled in for Bobby Lewis’ Blues Band who had to cancel due to illness. We hope Bobby recovers soon. Mustang Sally was really good and many asked that we schedule them back next year. Who knows, maybe we will have an Indian Summer and fit in one more. Speaking of fit in. I am looking at small groups and singles to play the Pub inside this winter, I am open to suggestions. Karaoke works also.
This weeks Specials are:
Tuesday: Chicken Salad Sandwich w/FF & Cole Slaw
Wednesday: Fried Chicken w/2 Sides
Thursday: Filet of Fish Sandwich w/Onion Rings
Friday: Pork BBQ Flat Bread
Well the Pumpkin Patch opened last weekend. The number of people are picking up. It is amazing the comments that are received. There are new born baby goats that are so cute. It is hard to take yourself away from them, One little one in particular is so feisty. He is fun to watch.
This year there are two additions to the staff at the farm. We have Carol & Grandma Judy. They are having fun. On the younger side we have Samantha,(Sam) helping for the first time. In fact today is her first day. Unfortunately, she has to work with Grandma Judy. That poor girl, She will be scarred for life. I’m referring to Sam not Grandma Judy. Mary was also supposed to help out. But you know she is a wimp. I think retired life has gotten to her.
I have to call Pete this week and see how he is getting along with his new leg. I’m sure he will be racing Ricky around the block soon.
It is getting later and later to get Crabs. Last year it was around the 15th of October that they slowed down to almost nothing. It is still the best time to eat Crabs. My Good Counsel classmates are coming to the Pub on October 7th for our last Crabs of the year. Yummy!
Have a great week
See you at the Pub.
