Brrrrrr!!! It is cold. The other day helping out with the Pumpkin Patch, I got so cold and had the shakes so bad I had to leave and go take a long hot shower to warm up. Miss Linda stayed at the Pumpkin Patch and didn’t help to get me warm. Shame on her.
Speaking of cold. Miss Linda and I have booked a trip to Iceland in March 2022. What can I say, we are starting early in 2022. Now in April 2021 we age going on a River Boat Cruise on the Snake River, Then to Ireland in May and Africa in June followed up by a Rhine River Cruise to the Christmas Markets in December. Now I can’t forget that this year, while travel has been restricted, we are planning to fly to Miami and drive to Key West, Linda has never driven the Keys, hopefully to ring in the New Year in Key West. We will then travel to Marco Island by boat then to Fort Myer, Naples and the Villages before returning home. After we get home, we may venture to New Orleans the last week of January and or to Knoxville. I understand Knoxville is in dire need of rescuing from my friend Tom.
About the cold weather, Alan has been busy installing temporary weather protection on the Patio to keep everyone warm this winter. It should work well. In November, assuming the interest is there, we will do weekend special Fare for everyone to enjoy. We will do Oysters, Steak, Fresh Fish, Prime Rib, Sautéed Scallops what ever else you might suggest. It will be fun. It will be nice to get back to the Pub and have a cold beer.
This weeks Lunch Specials are:
Tuesday: Steak & Cheese w/FF
Wednesday: Fried Chicken w/2 Sides
Thursday: Grilled Reuben w/FF & Cole Slaw
Friday: Meatloaf w/2 Sides
The time has arrived. This is the last week of Crabs. I am ordering 20 bu in. When they are gone, they are gone until next May. We have had one heck of a Crab season this year. When I have had a chance to go through the tickets, Ill let you know how many bushels that we purchased this year. I know it is going to be a big increase over last year.
For those of you that are ready for inside dining, out inside is open with tables at 6′ apart and masks must be worn when not seated. Now of course you can enhance your dining experience by requesting the Washington Football Team on the Big Screen. I just know deep down that you will enjoy their new brand of football.
Enjoy your week & stay safe.
