Looks like a beautiful day.
If you have driven by the Pub, you have seen the new parking lot. It looks great. The only thing that remains is the striping.
Alan & Doug did a great job on the floors inside. You can almost see your face. Mary and her crew have done an excellent job on the inside as well.
Alan has been busy scraping the outside walls and weather permitting will start painting the first of the week. It will be the same color. I tried for purple with some fluffy clouds but I didn’t get very far. I thought it would have stood out and might even have even made the front page of the Post.
Hopefully this week Mary, Beth & I will work on the Menu and have it ready for when we can re-open.
Our Final of the season AYCE Buffet Breakfast is scheduled for this coming Saturday. We have no choice but to postpone it for the time being. Of course we could serve sausage and egg sandwiches on our new parking lot as long as we practiced Social Distancing, Kidding of course.
This week’s Lunch Specials are:
Monday: BBQed Tuna on Week Old Bread.
Tuesday: Grandma Judy’s Ham Hocks w/Mustard Sauce
Wednesday: Mary’s Aunt Gertrude’s recipe for Grilled Gator with Cajun Bourbon Puree
Thursday: Doreen’s SLOW Cooked Pinto Beans with Turkey Dressing
Friday: Michelle’s School Lunch Leftovers with Lemon Grass
Due to Social Distancing requirements, Specials are available from 11 to 1 at the individual’s kitchens. Curbside delivery only.
The best news during this whole thing is that the Redskins haven’t lost a game. Then again, neither have the Ravens.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for the Patio opening on April 18th. I believe these next 10 days will tell.
We have been fortunate thus far here in Frederick. I hope it stays that way. Most of you know my daughter, Kerry Beth, Hodgkin’s, My son, Kent, Leukemia, and my grandson, Jason, Burkitt’s Lymphoma, all are cancer survivors and are in the high risk group. They are in my prayers every day. I hope that this malaria therapy works. We will soon know.
In the meantime, Doreen is practicing her newly acquired waitress skills on Julia. Now Julia is very critical of her Meme and will accept nothing less than perfection. Her mom has taught her well. Poor Doreen. Erika on the other hand does not have a Julia. I guess she is a lost cause. Maybe this break will help.
One of my Good Counsel Alumni Group, Greg, went to Ocean City to wait out the Shutdown. Like most of us from Good Counsel, he had no clue that the Shutdown included Bars. He is out of luck for the time being. At least he can watch the waves roll in and collect sea shells.
Keep the Faith and this will be over soon I hope.
