Did you hear that they were calling for snow today? No? Good! cause I didn’t either. The snow is getting piled up pretty high in my parking lot at my apartment. Good thing I have the snowmobile. In case you didn’t know, the snowmobile is a restored 1999 Isuzu Amigo. It runs great in the snow. My Ford Fusion goes no where when there is white stuff on the ground.
Last week I said that we would be holding our second AYCE Buffet Breakfast this coming Saturday. Well. Mary is getting her second shot on Friday and they say that there is some reaction. So to be on the safe side, we are going to have the Breakfast on the following Saturday March 6th from 10 to 12. We will miss my mother’s birthday. She was so looking forward to joining us for her 115th Birthday Celebration. That’s ok she’s a big girl and can take a little disappointment.

This coming August, the Pub will celebrate the beginning of it’s 17th year. When Pete, Ronnie & I first bought the Pub, it was our hope to create a moderately priced, friendly, neighborhood Pub geared toward the working man. Our Motto “Where Friends Meet” still holds true. Mary colled this morning to tell me a little story. A few weeks ago, a couple, who had just moved into the area, stopped by and sat at one of the high tops. Another couple were in a booth. They struck up a conversation and ever since they have been meeting at the Pub on Friday evenings. The only difference is the husbands are at the high top and the wives control the booth. It seems that when someone new comes into the Pub, they feel the atmosphere and come back and become part of the Pub Family. A family that has provided emotional support and friendship during this virus’
Speaking of virus, I heard yesterday that Johns Hopkins is saying that if things keep going as they are, this thing should be over by April. Just in time for Crab Season. Here’s Hoping.
The Big Screen will remain up through March Madness for your enjoyment,
Several months ago, we launched the new website. I was scheduled for training which never happened because things were shut down. Well, I just had it and am anxious to put some of my new found skills, if I can remember them, to use. One is to change how the Pub Mail is sent out. Now it is a lot of work. If I can get all the addresses into the new platform (wow! that is a new term for me) it will be so much easier. As part of this process, the format might change a little and maybe include some art (pictures) Time will tell.
Stay Safe & See you at the Pub
